When we’re first starting out, it’s easy to use the same lens over and over again. But putting story first means catering every choice you make to your story and your shoot, and that means picking the lens that works best.
Here we share five of our favorite Canon lenses with you, and some of the discoveries we’ve made about them over the years.

The year 2013 is one I will never forget.
In 2013 I was flown all over the world to film the largest music festivals and the best dj’s on the planet. I spent weeks in Africa tracking and filming all sorts wildlife from lions, cheetahs and leopards to giraffes and endangered rhinos.I directed music videos for some of my favorites artist and had the opportunity to work with some amazingly talented people including dj’s, photographers and other film makers.
In 2013 I spent more time abroad than at home. I learnt how to sleep on flights and in cars as I went from one shoot straight to another. I got to experience for the first time how humbling and exciting it is when a person you don’t know, in a country you’ve never visited, knows your name and tells you they love your work.
I get told all the time that I have the best job in the world. It’s true, but so much of what I have achieved is owed to amazing people who believed in my and gave me the opportunities to prove myself. Abraham Joffe for being a mentor to me for the past two years and teaching me much of what I know and Stijn Verlinde & Kevin Gansemans for having faith in me and giving me my break in the European market. I am forever grateful to you and everyone who has encouraged and supported me so far.
It took a while to go through over 50tb of footage and it was hard to select only 2 minutes worth of footage to represent how amazing 2013 was for me but here it is.
This is my passion. I am Wissam.

Lana del ray- Young and Beautiful (Kaskade remix)
The fashion-short movie depicts a young girl’s journey to the realms of her deepest imagination. In the first act we experience her feelings of loneliness. She is longing for love, light, the unknown, a world yet to be discovered behind the web that entangles the tender bird of her existence - her desire for freedom is symbolized by the delicate beauty of wings and feathers.
When she receives a letter, her day-dreaming is ignited by the anticipation of his love in the form of elements and motions representing thoughts, images of freedom, flying, love, colors, energy, strength - intensifying and finally exploding. This image slowly fades back to a dull surreal scene where she finally awakes.

Welcome to ‘Red Ocean Mystics’ - Australian retail giant, Surf Dive and Ski’s 2013 Swimwear campaign. TVC, Cinema Ad and Short Film Directed and Produced by WTS.
Hot out of the clutches of our edit bay - the neo psychedelic TVC and campaign short are if anything, a steamy celebration of both beauties… Australia’s Northern Territories uniquely alien-esc outback & devilish desirables - Avril Alexander & Anna Tunhav. A sizzling juxtaposition that will raise your temperature.
Burn with us.
'Red Ocean Mystics takes us back to the core of mother nature, the centre of Australia where much of our heritage has begun. It's a mystical tail of searching for home in the surreal setting of the outback. Two lost seagulls find themselves amongst the mystics.'

This is Sophie Strobele. She’s sprawled on a diving board. You’ll notice she pulled her top up just as the camera panned onto her. That means the person who shot this said, ‘Ok, Soph, what we’ll do is I’ll pan across to you and you pull your top up, okay? Aaaand…ACTION!’ Remarkable bit of acting she did, don’t you think? The timing was perfect. And how good were her boobs in that performance? I smell an Os-caaar! Wait, that’s coconut oil.
